What it costs

What every price includes

Every from-price on the site is per person, twin share, in Indian rupees, built from each house's published or best available rate and checked in September 2026. Each journey lists its own inclusions, but some parts are shared by all of them.

Bhutan

The nightly fee is already in

Every Bhutan from-price carries Bhutan's Sustainable Development Fee at the Indian rate, ₹1,200 a night for an adult. Other passports pay US$100 a night plus a US$40 visa; the difference comes to about ₹62,600 on a seven-night Bhutan journey.

Paid separately

Flights, insurance and tips

Flights into the hills and home are extra unless a journey says otherwise. So is travel insurance covering cancellation, medical care and evacuation. Tips, drinks, spa time and laundry are paid to each house or person at their own rates.

The biggest lever

The house you sleep in

The Cranes of Phobjikha costs ₹8,25,000 per person with Six Senses Gangtey and a Pemako pool villa, and about ₹4,45,000 on the same route with Gangtey Lodge and COMO Uma Punakha. Season and room category move a price too.

Party size

A car costs the same for two or six

Cars, guides and charters do not get cheaper with fewer people. The Toy Train Weekend is ₹85,000 each for four sharing the steam charter, and ₹1,20,000 each for two.

Where the money goes

About a fifth pays for the design

On The First Time, priced from ₹1,75,000 per person, four fifths goes to houses, cars, guides, kitchens, fees and tax, and one fifth to design, service and 24x7 support. Ask for your own dates, and the quote shows each line.
