The short version
We collect what you tell us in the enquiry form and in the conversation that follows, and we use it to design and, if you choose, to run your journey. It is kept in our own booking system so that the designer working with you can see the whole conversation. Details are not sold, rented or shared outside the journey itself: hotels, guides and drivers receive only the names and dates they need. You can ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete it, by writing to [email protected], and a deletion request is confirmed within a week.
What we collect when you enquire
These are the fields on the enquiry form, and nothing more is taken from you while you read the site. Only your name and one way to reach you are needed. The rest exist so that the first proposal is close to the journey you had in mind.
- Your nameSo that a person can write back to you by name.
- Email, phone or WhatsApp, and how you prefer to be contactedOne of the two is enough. We ask which you prefer so that we do not ring at nine at night when you would rather read an email in the morning.
- The country you live inPermits work differently by country, and so do sensible hours for a phone call.
- The month you would like to travel, and how many nightsThe month decides what is open and what the roads are doing. The nights decide whether a route is honest or rushed.
- Who is travelling, adults and childrenSo that the rooms, the car and the walking are the right size before we price anything.
- The occasion, if there is oneA honeymoon, an anniversary or a milestone birthday changes which rooms we ask for.
- A budget band, per person and excluding flightsSo that the first proposal lands in the range you had in mind. The form works without it; it only means the first guess is wider.
- Places you have in mindSo that we plan around what you came for instead of guessing at it.
- The passports in your partyPermits for Sikkim and Bhutan differ by passport, and some take weeks. This tells us what has to be filed and when.
- Whether anyone in the party finds stairs or altitude hardSo that we can ask for a ground floor room, shorten a drive or slow a climb. Tell us as little as you like: we do not ask for a diagnosis, a doctor's letter or any medical record.
- What you tell us about the tripThe message box is yours. It is read by the designer who answers you.
- The page you enquired from, and campaign tags in the link you usedRecorded automatically, so we know which parts of the site are useful. It is a tag on the enquiry, not a record of everything you read.
Where it sits, and what it is used for
Your enquiry is stored in our own booking system so that the designer working with you can see the whole conversation, from the first message to the last morning of the journey. That is why nobody at our end asks you the same question twice.
We use what you send for one purpose: to design and, if you choose, to run your journey. We do not add anything about you from other sources, we do not build a profile for advertising, and we do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone outside the journey itself.
Who sees any of it
Hotels, guides and drivers receive only the names and the dates they need: the names on the room, the morning the car is wanted, how many people are walking. They are not sent your budget band, your message or your phone number, unless you ask us to pass a number on so that a driver can find you at the airport.
Permits are the one place where more has to travel, and only because the office asks for it. A Sikkim permit for a foreign or OCI passport, and Bhutan's permit and visa, need identity documents: the passport page, and a photograph. Those go to the permit office, or to the sponsoring agent in Bhutan who files the application, for that application and nothing else. They are not sent to the hotels or the guides. If you want to know which office will hold a passport copy before you send it, ask the designer and they will tell you.
A passport page is the most sensitive thing you will ever send us. Send it only when a designer has asked for it, and only by the route the designer gives you at the time. If a message asking for passport copies or card details arrives and you were not expecting it, do not reply to it: ring or message +91 86178 24110 and check with us first.
Asking for a copy, a correction or a deletion
All of it is done by writing to the email address in the footer, [email protected], or by messaging the number you have been writing to. No form, and no reason needed.
-
Any time
A copy of what we hold
Write from the address or the number you enquired on, and we will send you what is on your enquiry.
-
Any time
A correction
A misspelt name is a real problem on a permit application. Tell us and we will change it in the booking system and with anyone who already has it.
-
Any time
A deletion
Ask us to delete your details and we will confirm within a week. If a journey is running or a permit has been filed, we will tell you which part has to stay until that is finished, and why.
-
Any time
How long we keep it
Write and ask about your own enquiry. We would rather answer you properly than publish a tidy number here.
Messages, and how to stop them
We contact you about your enquiry on the channels you gave us, and no others. There is no newsletter unless you ask for one.
To stop hearing from us, reply once and say so, by email or on WhatsApp. If you would rather we kept the plan on file and simply stopped writing, say that instead and we will note it on the enquiry.
Cookies and counting visits
A small number of cookies remember campaign tags for thirty days, so that an enquiry credits the right campaign, and where we have enabled it an analytics tool counts visits. Nothing on this site profiles you across other websites.
The cookies page lists what each one does and how long it lasts.

Questions people ask
Do you sell my details?
No. They are not sold, rented or shared outside the journey itself.
Do I have to give my budget or my passport type to enquire?
No. Both can be left empty and you will still get a reply. Passports only matter once a permit has to be applied for.
I sent something you did not need. Can you remove it?
Yes. Tell us which message and we will take it off the enquiry.
If anything here is unclear
Write to [email protected] or call +91 86178 24110 and ask. We would rather answer a question now than have you find the answer in a document later.
